Voices of Freedom, Equality and Dignity

These are universal topics that speak to Americans. They represent the foundation of our culture and from their roots give our nation a voice.

America has been blessed with great men in our highest and most powerful office. In varying degrees, they have personified the very definition of bravery, freedom and loyalty as they sought to further the goals of democracy.

George Washington, the Father of our Country, was the symbol of strength during the long war of independence and then provided the model of leadership in the American experiment of democracy. Thomas Jefferson dreamed of America expanding to the West and led the country into histories' greatest land purchase and inspired its most significant expeditions. Theodore Roosevelt charged up the San Juan Hills and then brought that same raw energy to the Presidency. Franklin D. Roosevelt assured the nation against fear during the depression and was our driving visionary during her greatest war.

Lesser known Presidents have also served their nation in ways that bring inspiration today. James A. Garfield, born in an Ohio log cabin, expected to be an evangelist and educator, until convinced the Union was too important to divide and slavery too great a sin. Andrew Johnson, a Tennessee Southerner who was once an indentured servant, stood firmly on the Constitution and the Union during the most crucial decade of our history. General Douglas MacArthur is well known for his courageous strategy during WWII, the Japanese Occupation, and the Korean War. Little is known about his life up to that time.

Portrayed by Dr. Gary M. Gray, each president was developed from exhaustive research. Not only is the life story presented, but the basic beliefs and values of the chief executive during times and issues of crisis. Small details add color, as when Theodore Roosevelt kills a rattlesnake with a whip during the "Great Wolf Hunt" of 1905, or Garfield defends Christianity in an epic creation vs. evolution debate in 1858.
